Legendury Beatz (pronounced Legen-dury beat-z) is a Nigerian record producing, songwriting duo, founded in 2009 by siblings Uzezi Oniko (born 17 February 1986) and Okiemute Oniko (born in 1972).
Their production style is deeply rooted to Afrobeats but spans numerous genres fusing hip-hop, dancehall, moombahton and electro house elements.
With less than a year as a music production duo, Legendury Beatz made international headlines, producing the internationally acclaimed single “Azonto” performed by Afrobeats superstar and MOBO award winner Wizkid. The song helped popularize the Azonto dance, from Ghana and it gained popularity that made Chris brown learn the dance and talk about it on the BET show, 106 and park.
Throughout their career they have been noted for their extensive work with Wizkid writing and producing consecutive string of hits. The duo have produced many hits with vocal contribution from artists such as American act Wale, British rapper Tinnie Tempah and International Award winning acts 2face and Ice prince.Other production credits include African acts, Efya, Banky W, Seyi shay, R2bees, may d amongst others.
