Africa continues to blur the line and break boundaries in penetrating the West. This week, Nigeria’s D’Banj leads in the effort. After rumors of his collaboration with America’s Kanye West following his collaboration with Rapper Snoop Dogg, we received official and confirming news that D’banj is now signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D music label.
What this means for both artists and their labels (Mo’Hits & G.O.O.D) remains to be seen. One thing we feel confident about is that it puts Africa on the map and will continue to. D’Banj is nominated at the 2011 BET Awards to be held on June 26th, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA.
