About the Album
‘The African Dream’
Following in the footsteps of great legends including Fela Kuti, UK-based, Nigerian musician, MOBO nominated JJC returns to the world stage, this time representing Africa . On a mission to unite Africa through his music, JJC released the New album ‘The African Dream’ on 23rd MAY 2011- an eclectic mix of material which reflects the diverse sounds currently making waves across the continent.
From the Afro dance anthem “Jigi Lale”, an electro funk inspired “Skankers” JJC’s beat-making talents will entice newcomers and Afro beat veterans alike to dance. On the more serious side of things, songs “Ma Love” and the romantic “Say Yes”) are delivered to showcase the artist’s sentimental side.
“Bang Bang” and “Hungry are track that will get the crowd asking why hes was away for so long.
Last year JJC (aka Skillz, for his a much sought-after skills as a music producer to the stars) embarked on his mission with his hugely infectious lead single and video “We Are Africans”. The track became an anthem and acknowledged the multi-talented star as one of Africa’s leading stars with a MOBO nomination.
To date the single alone has been remixed x times, in countries all over Africa, from x to x and is still being requested by artists from other countries hoping to put their spin on the momentous track.
