This week opens up with exciting news for Ethiopia and reigning Ethiopian Miss Millennium Queen, Kidan Tesfahun. Kidan this past weekend emerged “Best Female Model of the World 2009” winner in Spain, a contest organized by Sukier Models International.
“I love to model, however it is a pity that the modeling industry is not professional or well established back home, so aspiring models like my self cannot make a living out of want we like to do,” said the 24year old Kidan.
“From here on I guess the sky is the limit for me, I have gained the professional acceptance I always knew I should have, and I am indeed grateful to the Almighty Lord for guiding me and making my dreams come true.”
Kidan, with this win, secures a modeling contract with one of Europe’s Modeling agencies and plans to feature in fashion weeks across Europe.
