The appeal to use sport as a tool for peace has been thrown open to leaders throughout the world. Heads of State are becoming increasingly determined to work for peace through sport. 500 leaders who were gathered yesterday in Monaco for 5th Peace and Sport International Forum demonstrated this common wish when four Heads of State – H.E. Pál Schmitt, President of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Gjorge Ivanov, President of the Republic of Macedonia, H.E. Pierre Nkurunziza, President of the Republic of Burundi, King of Lesotho H.R.H LETSIE III – called for the consolidation of peace through sport. In attendance among many sport figures was Kenya’s Wilson Kosgei. Check out a few images from the event.
