Iman ‘Iman Home’ Launch at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2011 told you about Iman’s ‘Iman Home’ Spring 2011 upcoming launch at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Star lounge. The event finally took place on September 9th, 2010 and we’ve got the scoop on the design space with Iman’s touch.

The star lounge is the hot spot where celebrities attending fashion week go to relax, enjoy drinks on the house, mingle, chat and munch on goodies, throughout fashion week. The previous venue at Bryant Park was quite small, 550 square feet, at best. While it was overall a nice spot, there wasn’t, per se, anything spectacular about the interior décor and design. The new location at Lincoln Center, however,  is a big and welcome upgrade. The space is probably an estimated 950 square feet and of course celebrities still enjoy the perks that come with being a celebrities. But equally exciting is the interior design that has a lot more “pizzazz”  thanks to Iman’s ‘Iman home’ design.

From the interior of the main lobby for the shows, which has more of an upscale fashion convention feel to it, celebrities will now walk into a star lounge that is at once homely, friendly and a feast for the eyes. Plush armchairs and couches are covered with beautiful African and exotic inspired fabrics with attention to design details that is bound to keep  any celebrity happy yet subtly engaged in the beauty of the space.
