Ibe Ananaba, As Fluid as What the Sable Does

Ibe Ananaba 4Artist and Fashion Illustrator Ibe Ananaba who we featured an exclusive on as our LadybrilleNigeria Personality of the Month for October 2009 told us that as “Faze once said, One day dem go holla my name!” Since that exclusive, art lovers and media alike are slowly but surely “hollaring” his name. Keeping up with the slow but steady “holla” momentum, Ibe Ananababa delivers yet another solid piece of work, a water colored series titled, “As Fluid as What the Sable Does.”

They are “some of my watercolors. A medium which I love so much. A medium that’s so delicate to handle. A medium many run away from. A medium that some feel is cheap but is not. A medium as sweet as my favourite food,” explained Ananaba about his recent work.

We especially like the women dressed in traditional iro, buba and gele embracing and enjoying life through music and ‘fluid’ grooves.
