This past weekend was all about the much anticipated Hip-Hop World Awards 2009 which was relocated from Lagos to Abuja, Nigeria for the first time. The very brilliant lyricist/rapper/producer aka “Hip-hop Messiah” M.I. walked away with two awards including Best Rap Album while the equally brilliant 9ice, the King of ‘Gongo Aso,’ walked away with three.
