“Jacqui Corfield started off by styling local South African bands, in time she progressed to doing exclusive, one-off stage pieces and by 2009 she started her own official ladies-wear brand, we now know as Hermanna Rush. Jacqui has been nominated as Shoprite | Checkers SABC 2 Woman of the Year and by this year she has managed to become a permanent designer for Edgars Melrose Arch and Sandton. She describes her brand as urban ladies-wear, which is imbued with a European flair of sophistication. It is for the industrious woman who has a flair for style and appreciates the brands wearability and affordability.
This season, Jacqui is exploring the effects of water on objects as her inspiration. She is focusing on magnifying prints and illuminating colors, as well as bringing in leather in a variety of nudes and also showing a fresh and sophisticated take on pink, rather than the stereo-typical way in which it is commonly viewed.”
