Flavania Matata, although not included in our Africa’s 21 Fresh Faces in Fashion feature, she is definitely a name to watch out for. Matata emerged in 2007 as Tanzania’s beauty queen. That same year she represented her country at the Miss Universe competition; and was one of 15 semifinalists. She is known for her boldness in rocking a bald head, for the first time in pageant history, at the competition.
