Details have now been unveiled for Y! Magazine’s Annual Black Ball. An end-of-the-year celebration for the cool set, the first edition will hold on Saturday, 16 December, 2012 at the Crystal Ballroom of the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

“Y! The event is hosted by rapper MI Abaga and the 3 Live Chicks including Tosyn Bucknor and Oreka Godis. Dress code is Black with Masks, with the organisers presenting guests with masks at the venue. The black carpet is hosted by rave fashion TV show, GlamSquad led by Style editor; Latasha Ngwube. In addition to all of this, the brand new, re-modelled Y! Magazine will be presented to the public – with a first-of-its kind cover identity as well as content re-energised for its audience. Each of the selected 300 guests will receive the very first edition of the auto-graphed magazines. Also to be unveiled with the magazine is the Annual Y! Best Dressed List – which will profile the 20 young celebrities who define the style and look of a generation.

“It’s a ball! So how about some end-of-year games?” Williams teases. “We are letting our hair down and getting a little playful. The excitement doesn’t end when you receive the gorgeous masks at the venue. That’s just the beginning of an evening that will be a delightful experience.”

The timeless Cinderella fairytale will also come alive on the evening. Charming singer Praiz searching for his Cinderella, with the perfect silver shoes in hand – and the lucky lady will be serenaded with a love song. A beautiful lady will also search for her Prince Charming, Royal Sapphire ring in hand. In addition, the best dressed of the night will be unveiled as the King and Queen of the Black Ball.
