Eva Longoria Parker joins the list of celebs venturing into the fragrance business. The actress and brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris is set to launch a women’s fragrance called Eva by Eva Longoria in the USA in 2010. “I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” said Longoria Parker in an exclusive interview to WWD about her new fragrance. “So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.”
The perfume is being manufactured by Falic Fashion Group. “I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done,” said Longoria Parker of her hands on involvement in manufacturing of her new fragrance. “But I enjoyed the process.”
Eva by Eva Longoria will debut in April in over a 1,000 retail stores in the U.S. and will subsequently be launched in Mexico, South and Central America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
