Enugu State to Open Shopping Mall

the-PalmsEnugu state announces its plan for a shopping mall. The shopping mall called ‘Polo Park Shopping Mall’ according to the state’s Governor Sullivan Chime is a partnership with the State of Enugu and the Persianas Group, developers of The Palms Shopping Center in Lagos (Enugu State owns 10% while Persiana owns the remnant 90%).

The South East state becomes the second in the nation with a shopping mall.

“This latest venture between us and the Enugu State Government is significant and will help us contribute to the modernization of the coal city. This will also provide an opportunity for indigenous trade and retailers to adopt modern technique of retailing, ” explained Chuka Okoye, spokesperson for the Persianas Group in a recent press conference.

The mall will be home to a cinema, restaurants, electronic stores and a variety of clothing and cosmetics retailers. The construction of Polo Park Mall, Enugu is a collaborative venture consisting of TPS P architects, Conceptaul Architect Rob Bray, ECAD Architects, COSTEC, MO&A and New Technics Construction Company.

    It’s amazing, new jobs, development,convenient shopping awaits the people of Enugu state if it’s constructed like the shoprite i know @ Lekki Lagos State.I hope /suggest it be built like Walmat here in the USA so it will become part of what will attract people to come to Enugu state for Vacation.
    I like it.
