ASOS.com, UK’s largest independent online fashion and beauty retailer announced last week the launch of its Asos.com Green Room, an online marketplace which brings together and highlights brands that promote people and the planet. Asos.com Green Room includes reputable fashion and beauty brands, ASOS.com own-label collections and a series of ASOS.com collaborations with artisans and small producer groups – all with the aim of supporting social and environmental awareness.
As part of its Green room initiative, Asos.com also launched its Asos Africa collection. Asos Africa is a capsule collection of clothing and accessories designed, sourced and produced in collaboration with several small communities in Africa. The collection features African handmade accesories and the African kanga in modern silhouettes like jumpsuits, playsuits, blazers and cropped trousers handmade leather accessories. ASOS Africa launched on February 22nd, 2010 and clothes retail from £15 -£75 while accessories retail from £18 -£32.
