Artist to Watch: Ash Hamman, Don’t Sleep on Him!

When Dubai based Nigerian R & B artist Ash Hamman reached out to Ladybrillemag.com with his music, we immediately knew he was simply not one to sleep on. Born Abdul Sammir Hamman in Nigeria, Ash describes his music as one “that appeals to all ages, genres and tastes. . . embracing pop and hip-hop yet staying true to (my) R&B roots.”

His love for music was inherited from his father who really wanted to be an entertainer all of his life. His father never achieved that goal. He did, however, keep the Hamman home filled with  music from across the globe. This love for music was contagious and Ash caught on.

Ash is currently the C.E.O and president of his label Immaqul’8 Entertainment (pronounced immaculate). He got his break into the music scene in 2003 with the Booker T revamp of his club smash Bounce 2 This. The song reached top 20 in the national charts and was  number one  on the UK Garage and Club. Ash continues to churn out great music and is working on an international album. Listen to his songs, stay tuned and don’t be caught sleeping on him!
