Nigeria’s Fashion designer Lisa Folawiyo- Jewel by Lisa cited Sarah Jessica Parker and Sex in the City as inspiration for her “Afro Chic in the City” Spring/Summer 2010 collection; which won rave reviews at New York Fashion this past September. Lisa and many SJP fans will be excited to know SJP is will now wear “creative director” designer hat for Halston. Reports from WWD, among many media outlets, advise SJP will be the creative director for Halston’s secondary line, Heritage label.
While the announcement has generated excitement, it has also raised criticisms among industry heads and fashionistas. SJP is yet to speak on her new role at Halston but she does have experience designing under her own label ‘Bitten.’
