As the saying goes, “After the show is the After Party!” The Arise Promise of Africa Fashion Collective ended with South Africa’s finest, DJ Dino Moran, informing the audience about the location for the After Party. “All” where invited to the exqusite $400million newly restore The Plaza Hotel located on Fifth Avenue at Central Park South.
When we (Ladybrille crew) arrived on location, it was clear almost everyone had accepted the invitation. The party held on the second floor of The Plaza was packed with people ready to party, mingle and network. At the entrance of the party on the second floor, we noticed some very chic guests, designers and a handful celebs. Making our way towards the back end of the second floor, we noticed the South African crew consisting of Jan Malan, producer of Face of Africa and also involved in the Arise Promise of Africa Collective Show, dancing away.
Waiters managed to navigate the crowded room serving h’ordeuvres. We spotted celeb designer Korto Momolu and later Black Entertainment Television CEO and former lawyer, Debbie Lee. Just as the space threatened to get even more crowded, ThisDay/Arise Magazine’s Nduka Obaigbena arrived. He later moved some folks from the afterparty on the second floor to the Arise penthouse at The Plaza for more mingling, partying and networking.
It was good times. Enjoy some our exclusive pictures.
