Nigeria: There are two ways of pumping out sand from the ocean in Nigeria. It’s either done with a dreading machine used to pump sand or manually where someone has to go under water with a bucket to get the sand.

BattaBox presenter Adeola interviews the people who extract all the sand used in building houses in Lagos. They work fifteen hours everyday to get one tipper of sand. But how much money do they make from dreading sand? “After paying the workers, our profit is not up to N2000,” says one woman.
