Ebony Life TV CEO Mo’Abudu premiered her movie ‘Fifty,’ over the weekend, at the Vue 7 Cinema, Leicester Square, London. Fifty is one of several films selected under the ‘Love Category’ as part of the the BFI London Festival program.
“FIFTY is a brand new film from EbonyLife Films starring Ireti Doyle, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Omoni Oboli, and Nse Ikpe-Etim. With guest & cameo appearances by King Sunny Ade, Femi Kuti, Nneka, Tiwa Savage and Waje, the film has been selected to screen at the 2015 London Film Festival in the ‘Love Category’.
FIFTY captures the lives of four Nigeria women at the pinnacle of their careers. Meet Tola, Elizabeth, Maria and Kate, four friends forced, at midlife, to take inventory of their personal lives, while juggling careers and family against the sprawling backdrops of the upper middle-class neighbourhoods of Ikoyi and Victoria Island in Lagos. They live and work in the resurgent, ever-bustling, 24-hour megacity of Lagos, the commercial capital of Africa’s biggest and most vibrant economy.”
FIFTY premieres in Nigerian cinemas on December 18th, 2015.
