Thula showed in Paris in 2008 during Couture Fashion Week, with the assistance of SA Tourism and AFI, and showed at both Cape Town and Joburg Fashion Weeks. In November he was nominated as a top 10 emerging designer in the FIMA: Afrque est la mode pan African fashion contest, held in Niamey, Niger.
Thula took his winter 08 collection to Johannesburg, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Guangzong in association with the Department of Arts and Culture. Thula then showcased his most recent collection in Luanda, Angola and in Lagos, Nigeria during the Nigeria’s Next Super Model search.”
