Nigerian Sports and Cultural Carnival USA – July 30th, 2011

The Nigerian Community in New York/New Jersey celebrates the Nigerian Sports and Cultural Carnival in Orange Park, Orange, New Jersey on Saturday July 30, 2011.

The event is organized by the Nigerian Sports and Cultural Organization – a Not For Profit and non-political entity. The carnival is designed to showcase Nigerian culture and heritage, promote positive social interactions amongst Nigerians, encourage healthy living through sports and highlight positive contributions of Nigerians to their respective local communities in the United states. Top Nigerian sports and entertainment figures as well as other dignitaries are expected to grace the event.

Activities for the day include:

  • Soccer tournament
  • Table tennis tournament
  • Womens volleyball tournament
  • Traditional and Masquerade dance
  • Clown entertainment for kids
  • Live performances by Nigerian musicians and comedians
  • Free Nigerian snacks, food and drinks

There will also be an After-Party.
