“Raquel Naa Ayorkor Ammah “Raquel” (born 12th August, 1987) is a talented professional Musician, Composer, Choreographer, Actress, Script Writer, and Professional Artiste with unlimited musical energy, excellent performance capabilities and abilities in her delivery and style in the studio and on stage, by judgment the best if not one of the best female musician’s and vocalist in Ghana, Africa and Internationally. Raquel, an international superstar with her unique personality and very strong presence can be best described as a true natural born star, blessed with multiple musical and artistic abilities and still developing, managing and increasing her skill set with maximum focus and love for making quality and real music.
The inspirational and soulful singer had 2 nominations at the Hip Hop n RnB Awards 2011 and 1 nomination at the Vodafone 4syte Music Video Awards in 2011. This year she was nominated for 5x categories at the just ended 2012 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) for ‘The New Artist of the Year (Technical Award), Best Female Vocalist (Sweetio ft Sarkodie), Afro Pop song of the Year (Sweetio ft Sarkodie), 2x Best Collaborations of the Year Sweetio ft Sarkodie and Adjie ft Trigmatic.
After a releasing the biggest Afro pop hit song Sweetio featuring; Black Entertainment Television (BET) nominee Sarkodie for the year 2011 and still running, the songstress Raquel has currently released her third single ‘Set Me Free’ off the up and coming album due to be released later this year. Previously in July 2010 she released ‘Odo’ as her official hit single, the video was directed by Abraham Ohene-Djan (OM Studios).Then in January 2011 she released her second single Sweetio ft Sarkodie which has been labelled a major hit from several sources across Ghana, Africa, Europe, America and Asia. Raquel has also unofficially released songs like ‘Get Wild’ ft Sarkodie and Guru, ‘Be InLove, This Is Me, Minsumobo with J.B and Pressure.

[A]s part of her social responsibility the superstar has voluntarily been a mentor for a private chosen charity within her local community in Ghana (CHF) Christ Humanitarian Foundation. The songstress acts as a public advocate for the foundation to help them raise funds each year. The beautiful Raquel has featured in a new up and coming international TV programme as a supporting actress called the Primary Mates yet to be commercially aired on selected TV Stations across the country and the African continent.
Raquel also acted in the musical ‘The Sound of Music’ playing the lead role of (Maria) in 2010 at the National Theatre being watched by many including the German Embassy.In 2009, Raquel’s classical hit release ‘This Is Me’ written by the Diva, produced by Bronzy (D2 Studio’s) was featured in Shirley Frimpong’s masterpiece ‘A Sting in a Tale’, a successful production from Sparrow Production.
