If you don’t believe in miracles, you better start believing now. Liberia’s Jerrilyn Mulbah’s life down to her music is simply one miracle after another. It is no wonder she sings with such soul and passion. At a young age, while living in Liberia. Mulbah was sold by her caregiver, during the Liberian civil war, in exchange for fish. She lived with her newly acquired caretaker for 2 years until a stranger recognized her and was able to reconnect her with her mother. In 2007, Mulbah entered the West African Idols competition and while she did not win, she captured the hearts of millions across the continent with her music. Jerrilyn subsequently performed before an estimated 20,000 concert audience, marking the first phase of the Stop Rape Campaign spearheaded by United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), the government of Liberia and, other partners.
She has inspired millions and hopes to continue to do so, espeicially among women and children.
