Africa’s musicians are not the only one making major breakthroughs into the US market this week. Africa’s fashion designers are doing the same. News this week confirms Nordstrom’s newest business venture called Treasure & Bond, a newly built two-story, 11,100-square-foot concept shop that opens this summer in Soho will stock African designers Terrence Bray, Colleen Eitzen and Leigh Schubert. All profits from Nordstrom’s Treasure & Bond will be donated to charity or charity related causes/events.
A first step of many to come for Africa’s fashion industry. Bravo!
