MAYOR BLOOMBERG TO KICK OFF FIRST MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK AT LINCOLN CENTER

Expanded Fashion Event Will Make its Debut at Lincoln Center after Years at Bryant Park

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Council of Fashion Designers of America President Diane von Furstenberg, IMG Chairman and CEO Ted Forstmann, Lincoln Center Chair Katherine Farley and Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn will kick off the first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center on September 8. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will be held at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park from September 9 to 16. The semi-annual fashion events, previously held at Bryant Park, draw more than 230,000 attendees every year, generating more than $770 million in economic activity in New York City.

WHERE: Columbus Avenue between 64th and 65th Streets.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Space is limited. Camera spots will be granted on a first come-first served basis.
