If the organizers of the upcoming Africa Fashion Week have their way, however, this could be what we are due to see at this year’s event.
Africa’s rich heritage, her natural beauty and even colonial past have oftentimes served as an inspiration behind global art and much of this comes through in the ever evolving world of fashion, where the interpretation of Africa in cloth has seen late designer Yves Saint Laurent’s 1967 African art inspired collection capturing the world’s imagination.
