Women’s Wear Daily, an influential fashion trade journal sometimes called the “bible of fashion,”has named Nigerian brand/designer Maki Oh, as “Designer to Watch.” The publication shared this on their Tumblr page very recently. Within Africa’s fashion industry circles, some of its influential fashion editors and bloggers have also pronounced the brand as one to watch prior to the WWD announcement. Maki Oh has also attracted the likes of Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles who has on a few occasions been spotted wearing Maki Oh. Congratulations to the designer and her label.
