It is a challenge for artists, especially African artists, to gain recognition and penetrate mainstream with their music. New York based Nigerian artist Tinu is one of the handful of exceptions to the rule. Tinu’s Shoeholic video which debuted in November 2009 has reached over 855,000 hits and counting!
