Obiora Obiwon, one of Nigeria’s favorite R &B Crooner launched his sophomore album titled, “The Rebirth” last weekend at the Genesis Deluxe Cinemas at the Palms Shopping Mall. Helping him celebrate his successful launch were some of Nigeria’s talented and favorite artists: Bracket, Jay Martins, M.I, Jadel, Yaw Wazobia FM, Blaise, Niyola, Iboboy Ilbliss, Segun Obe, Rooftop MCs, Guchi Young, Phat E and Ali Baba.
“The Rebirth” Album gives fans the R &B pop sound they are used to but adds a new twist with Obiwon’s foray into absolutely must listen gospel music. Tracks like “Birthday,” “Lift your hands” and “Victorius,” for example, celebrate overcoming challenges as the tracks simultaneously thank God for the courage to stay the not so easy path to success.
