Join SocietyHAE.com for a multimedia presentation on social media and music in Africa and how both are helping to re-shape and re-define the continent.
Often when one thinks of Africa the images that come to mind are that of poverty, civil unrest, AIDS and corruption. There are however a new cadre of young artists that are re-defining Africa and challenging the public’s perception of Africa and its people. Through music and social media African artists are connecting with people beyond their countries borders and providing them with a glimpse of life in Africa and introducing the world first had to the creative mind and spirit of the people.
“This Is Africa…How Music and Social Media Are Re-defining A Continent” will look at how Africans are using social media to market their music and connect with the world. The panel will also introduce attendees to Africa’s rising music talent via a multimedia presentation. Finally the event will close with a DJ set and performance by African Artists.
