The inaugural Maker Faire Africa took place last month in Ghana. Organizers of the event included Erik Hersman who has been featured here on Ladybrille Magazine, Nii Simonds, TED Africa’s Emeka Okafor, Emer Beamer, Henry Banor, Lars Hasselblad Torres and Mark Grimes.
The point of the event is to “celebrate African ingenuity, innovation and invention,” says the Organizers. Maker Faire Africa 2010 will take place in Nairobi, Kenya. Watch Africa News video clip from the inagural event and see what the fuss is all about.
