Chioma Ebubedike- Igbokwe is an Entrepreneur and a law graduate from the University Of Benin, married to Kaka Igbokwe son of the Veteran singer Chrity Essien Igbokwe. She is the C.E.O of West n Couture Group a fashion and lifestyle company also Creative Director Zapel a fast growing clothing and fashion accessory line. She is also Presently Youth Director African Women in Leadership Organization.
She got her basic training in fashion designing in 1999 at Dobi Fashions in PortHarcourt. Prior to that, she had the inborn skills of creativity. After her basic training in Fashion Designing, she began making clothes for close family and friends as a young girl. In 2006 West n Couture Group was born. After law school she decided to get further training in fashion at the Central Saint Martin’s College of Arts and Design United Kingdom, where she took courses in designing and fashion accessory.
West n Couture is a fashion and lifestyle company involved in fashion Education, interior design, ready to wear and bespoke apparel, fashion accessories and fashion retail. West n Couture is set to officially unveil its clothing and accessory line ZAPEL.
Chioma Ebubedike-Igbokwe was nominated Style Entrepreneur of the Year by the FUTURE AWARDS in 2009 and in 2011 Designer of the Year by the FUTURE AWARDS Lagos. In 2011 she was shortlisted as 12 finalist MTN British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur of the year award. Also nominated Designer of the year Lagos Fashion Awards. Our clientele covers celebrities, civil servants, and everyday people.
Barr, Chioma Ebubedike -Igbokwe believes in the youths of Nigeria and believes that youth empowerment and Entrepreneurship is the way out for unemployed youths in Nigeria hence she has dedicated part of her time to youth development and has trained over 50 youths in fashion designing and other skills via the post Amnesty programme and Workshops.
