Nigerian filmmaker Kemi Adetiba who brought us the Nollywood blockbuster ‘The Wedding Party,’ and the women empowering interview webseries ‘King Women,’ has revealed cast members for her upcoming movie ‘The King of Boys.’
‘King of Boys’ will star Nollywood actresses Adesua Etomi, Sola Sobowale, Omoni Oboli, Osas Ajibade and Toni Tones. Actors include Paul Sambo, Sani Muazu, Demola Adedoyin, Zack Orji, and Akin Lewis. Making their debut roles in a movie will be Nigerian rappers Ill Bliss and Reminisce.
Prior to her career as a filmmaker, Adetiba made her big break in Nigeria’s entertainment industry as a
radio personality with Rhythm 93.7FM, and soon became the voice behind two nationally syndicated hit shows: Soul’d Out and her signature, Sunday at the Seaside.She later transitioned to television and quickly became one of Nigeria’s top television personalities and producers, as host of MNet (Studio 53, Temptation Nigeria), Soundcity (Lifestyle, Celebrity Profiles, Chat Room, various red-carpet specials), and a nationally syndicated reality show, Maltina Dance All.
In 2007, after years of success in front of the camera, her love of storytelling drew her to enroll at the New York Film Academy. Today, Adetiba is an award-winning director, producer and, cinematographer. Her body of work includes music videos, commercials, television content and, films.
Adetiba has received numerous recognitions and awards for her work and currently resides in New York.
