“Rendezvous a Paris is a film documentary showcasing L.A. based luxury jeweller, Tom Binns. The film sets out to explore and reveal, to an extent, the inner workings of the brand during fashion week in Paris. We get to hear from the CEO, Cristina Viera-Newton exactly what goes on as they show their Spring/Summer collection during the most important period on the fashion calendar.
This is the first foray into fashion film by Charles Obienu, the brain behind the upstart creative consultancy known as 3hvndred. The technical work and execution was done by Bolaji Kekere-Ekun of 37thSTATE, an increasingly popular production company based in Lagos, Nigeria. The idea behind the film is to introduce a new genre, a new way of appreciating fashion film. 3hvndred believes fashion film should have depth and a story line. Over the course of history, the industry and all its members have come into being through a myriad of ways he believes will captivate, intrigue and educate the viewer.
So what does the future hold? A feature length film is in its embryonic stage. They seek to show the world that fashion film is a worthy genre, full of passion and reality that should take its rightful place in the film industry next to the likes of action, drama or Sci-Fi. Stay tuned for the next installation from 3hvndred and 37thSTATE.”
