German based Nigerian singer Nneka walked away with the “Best African” Act Award at the just completed 2009 MOBO Awards! MOBO which stands for Music of Black Origins celebrates music from African/African American/Black Europeans across the globe. The event has since its inception gain recognition and attracts some of the biggest black music stars. This year’s event was hosted by R &B singer Keri Hilson and British Radio/TV personality Reggie Yates. The event also paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson, with his siblings Latoya and Jermaine Jackson in attendance to witness it all.
