Uganda’s R & B girl group, Blu 3 (Mya Baganda, Jacqui Chandiru and Lillian Mbabaz) prepare to rock the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) Awards which will be held in Nairobi, Kenya on October 10th, 2009. Blu 3 has been confirmed as one of the many talented African artists that will perform on what promsies to be an exciting day!
Other acts scheduled to perform include Lizha James from Mozambique who is also up for the “Best Female” Award, South Africa’s Da L.E.S up for “Best Male” and “Best Video”, Tanzania’s A.Y. up for “Best Hip Hop” and Congolese soukous king, Fally Ipupa. Blu 3 has also been nominated for “Best Performer” and “Best Group.”
With Haiti’s Wyclef Jean, Kenya’s Wahu, South Africa’s Lira, Nigeria’s M.I. and Ghana’s Samini also scheduled to perform, we can only imagine how amazing the night will be! Ladybrille Magazine will be on the ground in Nairobi bringing you all the exciting scoop so stay tuned!
