Tiffany Amber Nigeria, NYFW Arise Promise of Africa Collective Sneak Peek S/S 2010

TA2The Tiffany Amber Nigeria brand needs no introduction to the American fashion or media industries at this point. Designer Folake Folarin-Coker, the brain behind the brand, is indeed still enjoying the high off her well received collection at her Fall 2009 Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week collection. In addition, her recent showing at Arise Africa Fashion Week also received rave reviews earning her an Arise Africa Fashion Award and another ticket to New York this season. We caught up with the designer for an exclusive peek/details on her upcoming Spring/Summer 2010 collection.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: You are now a Veteran. What happened after showing last season in terms of US buyers and retailers and what are you hoping will happen after the applause and excitement of showing at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week the second time?
Folake Folarin Coker:
After the show last season I had quite a large interest with buyers in the States and surprisingly quite a lot of African countries. However, we are still doing a lot of talking as the terms and conditions are a lot more rigid than I am used to and hopefully by this time the brand Tiffany Amber will be available in the States.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: You showed at Arise Africa Fashion Week, where do you see Africa’s fashion industry headed in the next two years?
Folake Folarin-Coker:
The African fashion industry is entering a new dawn for the better.

LADYBRILLEmag.com: Welcome back to the USA and see you at the show!
Folake Folarin-Coker:
Thank you for your interest and kind words about Tiffany Amber.
