One of my favorite feature on the Ladybrille site is the featured musical artist. I'm an extreme music lover and appreciate the opportunity to expand my "portfolio" and learn about new and dynamically talented artists from all over the African continent!! Outside of the fashion which is a given, this would be my favorite part.
Question to Korto: It would be quite a task (although doable) to shift the paradigm of US fashion from generally Euro and US inspired to begin to appreciate and incorporate fashion perspectives from Africa in mainstream trends. Obviously Ladybrille is working to do so, and successfully so, but how can you as a designer contribute to this effort?
The Content. What I like about your company's site is how a severely under-served population in terms of high fashion can finally be shown for its true style, grace, innovation and influence while maintaining a unified beauty and cultural collective for all variations of our African people. We are a truly remarkable and dynamic people and it’s refreshing to have that presented unbiasedly.
Question to Korto: If you plan a runway show in the near future will you seek to change the body types featured from past typical shows and if so what can we expect to see represented?
Hi Korto,
I was really upset about you not winning the project runway the 2nd time around.
what are your plans to starting your fashion line, and what has been your biggest obstacle since you have been on project runaway?

Hello Korto and Ladybrillemag.com!
Corto, I love the way you make the fabrics form the body, you cut with precision and skill and the fabrics that you choose is what makes your fashion design stand out. You are still a winner in my eyes, I wish you much luck in your future endeavors!
1)My question to you is what gives you inspiration and drive to keep being a fashion designer, Being that there is so much competition and the economy we live in today?
2)What I like about ladybrillemag.com is the web site design and format, its neat, user friendly and not all over the place. The color scheme is fun and playful which I find very appealing. My favorite feature is Labybrille women of the month, I love to see inspiring women who are making there dreams come true, I find that inspiring for me!
1. Feature most liked: I have always liked the title banner at the top. When I first found the website some years ago, I could not remember the link or name and was only able to find it by describing the picture at the top.
2.Question: What steps would you yourself employ in starting and developing and an accessory line?

Hello Korto and Ladybrille,
I really love the adore the user friendly applications and website design. The coloring and organized design is very open, airy, young, hip and fresh! It does not give sensory overload but does not leave you wishing for more. Please keep up the great work.
Korto, I have been following you since Project Runway. You are inspirational to all women, especially women of color. As an admirer of your work I feel your thoughts through your design esthetic, color selections, and cultural infusion! Your work is amazing! When your name has become as common place thoughout the world (as we know that is not far off from the present), what is the one signature thing you want everyone to know and appreciate about you as the designer?
To both Ladybrille and Korto your contribution to the fashion industry gives the world a great variety and prospective of ALL that is awesome and available to experience and admire! Please continue to expose and cultivate the minds of those interested in PURE fashion!

Hello Ms. Korto,
My name is Shamika and I am a woman that loves everything about Fashion! I was born by parents of Trinidadian decent and can truely appreicate your use of texture and color because we have similar flare in our clothing back home. My question to you is, "When all is said and done, What impression do you want to leave in this world? Why do you use the textures and fabrics that you do? What is it that you want us to remember about the type of Designer you were? Your work to me is beyond amazing. I know that you have alot to put out there and I wish you the very best. I can't wait for the bags as well!!
Good Luck to you and congrats!
Best Regards,
Shamika

Hey Korto and Ladybrille,
My name is Ngozi. I'm a Nigerian college student from New York City.
Korto, I LOVE your designs. Your use of the traditional fabrics to create pieces that are fit for a lady, yet ethnic and fun, is BEAUTIFUL! I have two questions for you. Earlier this year, my school's African Students Union and I had organized a very successful charity fashion show. During the process of searching for designers, I brought up your name, but I couldn't get any contact info for you. Do you have a contact that we can use to get in touch with your camp? We are thinking of ideas for our next fundraising event, and it would be awesome to donate to your charity. The second question is what is the meaning of your name? I LOVE it, and I can't seem to find the meaning anywhere.
My favorite part of Ladybrille is the 'Contests' section. Its always nice to be offered opportunities that seem to only come once in a lifetime. Hopefully, the magazine section will be up soon. I think it will be great.
(Sorry for the long message)
Thanks,
-Ngozi
Hey Korto, I really, really, love your designs. I'm Nigerian and I tend to prefer the designs that include our own fabrics, so I wanted to know: What are the local fabrics of Liberia, and which one do you love the most?
