She’s not your average designer and she is definitely not afraid to cross boundaries. Two words that describe Suzaan Heyns’ Spring/Summer 2010 collection, “fierce” and “fearless!”
The avant garde designer used grey, black, white and tan colored fabrics to create a captivating collection with artistic cuts that embraced femininity with a masculine twist. It was obvious that Heyns has a thing for creating dramatic knickerbocker pants which was the central piece of most of her designs. Each piece made a different statement but the general message of the collection was “stand out”. Transparent satin was used to design black dresses for the very confident fashionista.
