Organizers of the Miss Africa USA pageant have announced media personality and Professor Omarosa Manigault as one of their judges for this year’s event.
Professor Omarosa who currently teaches “Global, Corporate, and Personal Brand Management” in the MBA program at Howard University School of Business, captured the attention of the business community and the nation as an original cast member on the hit show The Apprentice with Donald Trump.
She will be joined by former Editor-in-Chief of Essence Magazine Diane Weathers, famed African fashion designer Alphadi, among others, to determine which young woman takes home the coveted crown this year.
Now in its tenth year, the Miss Africa USA Pageant is an event that grooms a new generation of African women leaders to impact their communities in Africa, America and the rest of the world.
The pageant enables African girls in America to shine the spotlight on Africa, tell their stories to the world, inspire one another, build self esteem, and feel beautiful inside and out. The pageant is like no other, the delegates are very intelligent young women from some of the most respected educational institutions in North America, with careers spanning from the sciences to the arts, some in medical school or pharmacy school, others are emerging journalists, human rights activists and more.
