For those who missed it -On May 10th, 2013, Delta College School of Fashion had a fashion show which was a collaboration between its Event Production class and its Fashion Collection Design class.
Below are details about the event and a few images courtesy Stan Rapada.
“In less than 16 weeks:
The events class produces the show, along with several other events throughout the semester. They participate in outside events like the Lincoln Center Bridal Fair, a Soolip Wedding in San Francisco, and Sacramento Fashion week to gain experience in event production. They source all of the funding for the show; source the venue; recruit models and conduct model workshops; recruit hair and makeup stylists, photographers, and videographers; design and develop marketing all materials – including press kits, print ads, and social media campaigns; create the VIP reception; select and mix the music and the media components of the show; sell tickets; and much more.
The Collection Design students create their collection concepts, source their fabrics and trims, draft all of the patterns for their garments, construct and fit the garments to their models, finish the looks with accessories and other details.
Our designers were amazing this year and the show came together very well.” – Leslie Asfour/Fashion Director
