Yomi Casual Opens Celeb-Styled Showroom (Pictures)

Lagos, Nigeria woke up to day of glittering glamour, last weekend, when Frank Osodi, AY, Opa Williams, Ebube, Uti Nwachuku, some of Tinsel Casts, and scores of other Nigeria Super Celebrities shined on Bode Thomas Street Surulere, the location of the new Celebrity-Styled Showroom of Nigeria’s Hottest New Fashion designer – Yomi Casual.

Wearing a broad, fulfilling smile and speaking to press men shortly before guests arrived, Yomi Casual said opening a Showroom on a street as accessible as Bode Thomas was informed “by the increasing flow of VIP and Celebrity client want to wear some of our fly designs, which makes you fabulous at every age. And who want to see for themselves a displayed collection of Vintage Designs they can choose from.”

“The Showroom,” Yomi Casual continues, “is also our humble creative contribution to Nigeria’s and Africa’s Fashion Industry. We employ young and potential Fashion Designers who we take through Fashion basics in hopes that someday, they too could be celebrated designers. So, while we , with our designs are bringing out the Celebrity in our clients, we are also want to create Celebrities out of our young amazing employees.”

Inside the Showroom, 10 Celebrities purchased an outfit each from Yomi Casual’s Deluxe 2012 Collections while dozens of passers-by dropped-by to take a look at the Collections on Display, five out of which made immediate purchases.

Leading the purchasing Celebrities, AY, Nigeria’s showbiz Ambassador, inventive comedian, and Yomi Casual’s brother radiated with cheering satisfaction at his brother’s celebrated success.

Said AY: “I can give you eight significance of Yomi Causal’s perching on Number 8, Bode Thomas, but I will summarize all one simple statement: ‘Yomi Casual has officially joined the Premier League of Africa’s Fashion Designers. And this is just one of the first steps he is taking at redefining, and re-tailoring Africa’s Fashion outlook.’”

“Mark my words,” AY prophesied pointing at the Showroom, “this space would soon be the innovative source of some of Nigeria’s and Africa’s awe-inspiring and very trendy fashion statements.”

Somewhere in the Showroom (where celebrities clicked Champaign glasses and toasted to Yomi Casual and his new Showroom), Tinsel’s Gideon Okeke said Yomi Casual’s 2012 Collections are ‘Inspiring’; Uti Nwachukwu said, they are ‘Awesome!’, Gbero Ajibade (also of Tinsel) called them ‘Faboulous’; Elenu (the comedian) said they are ‘Exquisitely Casual’, while Nollywood’s Ebube said they are ‘Chic.’

When asked to describe (in three words) a 2012 Yomi Casual design on display, AY paused for a moment, took a sip of Champaign and exclaimed:

“I. LOVE… IT!”
