“Lanre Da Silva Ajayi studied business administration at Coventry University and obtained her masters degree at the University of Leicester in finance. With this business background, she then founded her eponymous label in Nigeria in 2005 for the discerning, stylish and slightly avant garde woman.
Lanre is now one of Nigeria’s foremost fashion minds and a bona fide trendsetter. LDA displays a talent that is innate and home grown with a strong passion for couture. Her collection draws inspiration from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, and is positively received as a vintage collection.
Lanre’s collections are distinguished by a proverbial eclectic fusion of art and couture giving rise to authentic and detailed garments. LDA was recently showcased at the This Day music fashion festival held at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2008 and has been featured on various catwalks while receiving reputable awards for excellence. ”
