Designer Danielle Margaux caters to a client base which is smart, sophisticated and drawn to classical-chic. The label aims to ensure that everything, from raw materials, to the business processed to the finished product adhere to high standards of quality, skill, workmanship and fit. Based in Cape Town, the label provides a bespoke manufacturing and design service as well as a ready-to-wear range.
After qualifying with a Diploma in Fashion Design from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, the designer got involved in many aspects of fashion, locally and internationally – Margaux involved herself in buying and editorial styling. She then worked with other designers, including the House of Klûk CGDT.
The collection for Cape Town Fashion Week offers contrasts flowing fabrics with structured fabrics, matte against sheen and draping against structure. It is inspired by the beauty of the past but has been interpreted in a modern way. Celebrating “real women”, the collection translates the silhouette of the 1950’s into a modern setting.
