“With the intention of becoming a leader in the South African market with a well-designed and fun range of underwear and sleepwear products, Undacova Underwear was founded in 2008. Based in Cape Town, the label is designed and manufactured locally and is available at independent stores across the country and in selected outlets in Canada and the UK. The menswear is also available at Woolworths’ top stores.
The label is rooted in street culture – local influences are paired with international design direction and create the signature look: striking colour combinations, bold graphics, sexy silhouettes and a tongue-in-cheek character. The brand follows the principles of fit, form and function in creating comfortable and edgy fashion underwear, loungewear and sleepwear products for both men and women.
The men’s range is inspired by 70’beach holidays and sailors. Graded stripes, nautical colours and fun “bum” prints are all to be expected. Love is the inspiration for the womenswear collection. The infectious spirit of African joie-de-vivre is paired up with a Parisian aesthetic. Retro one pieces, “girlie” knickers the low risers and boyfriend tee’s with teasing logo’s and signature statement prints (was) on the runway this season.
