Most of us look for that blemish free, clear skin and spotless face. Many of us battle with blackheads/pimples and skin infections but it really shouldn’t be that way. Black skin is beautiful.Look at Amaka Oguchi, Miss Commonwealth Africa 2009, she truly has a great skin but it didn’t come easy.

- First, keep your skin clean. Our African weather doesn’t help because slightly strong winds blow a lot of dust into our faces and the heat of the sun keeps us sweating. During the day, make sure you wash your face at least twice and finally before you go to sleep. Just with water.
- Many people don’t really know that by drinking lots of water, the skin is rejuvenated and it builds clearer skin colour. A bottle of water a day can do the trick. (I know a friend who’s face is slowly clearing up because she drinks a lot of water. She always has a bottle with her!)
- The best part of this is, there are other advantages of drinking the water. It doesn’t only clear the skin but it trims down the body maintaining the body shape.
