KuNa, New South African Clothing Label for the Little Ones

There is a new label in town, KuNa! KuNa, a label for the little ones age 2-10, acts local but thinks global. Produced and manufactured in South Africa, “KuNa clothing is bright and bold with an African twist, yet global and original; materials include natural cotton from South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia, and wax prints from Northern African countries,” says label owner and designer Shingai Netshipise.

KuNa is also one of the few African fashion brands embracing e-commerce. KuNa clothing can be purchased exclusively online at www.kuna.co.za. “Delivery of orders take 7–10 days to process and dispatch, depending on location; parcels are sent via registered mail which customers can either track themselves or liaise with KuNa Customer Care,” explains Netshipise.

Prior to launching KuNa, Netshipe (25years old), gained experience working for South Africa’s leading retailer, the Foschini Group (Cape Town) and alongside popular South African designer labels like Marianne Fassler and Hannia Webber’s Sibella range. Netshipe has channelled these experiences into making a brand that stands out.

Unlike many children’s clothing label out there, KuNa offers a wide range of sizes for the little ones and is also focused on using materials that are comfortable, durable and easy to wash. “While off-the-shelf garments are pre-made according to standardized measurements based on the age of the child, we recognize that some children are tall or petite for their age and many of the garments are therefore custom-made to individual specification,” says Netshipise.

We are excited about KuNa and the adorable little ones in KuNa clothing! Visit www.kuna.co.za to see even more selections and of course shop for the little ones. Happy Shopping at KuNa!
