Christian Audigier Launches Champagne and Wines in Africa

If you have been thinking there seems to be a lot of movement from fashion and entertainment celebrities in Asia and the West towards Africa, you are right! These days everyone wants a piece of Africa’s fashion and entertainment industries. Their key market ? Nigeria, West Africa, the largest of them all.

American musicians (Ludacris, Keri Hilson, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michael Bolton), Bollywood’s film industry professionals, European and American film directors and organizations, and now another one bites the dust, famed French designer Christian Audigier.

Yes, THE Christian Audigier the one behind brands like Ed Hardy, Von Dutch, and of course Christian Audigier. Audigier, diversifies his already rapidly growing portfolio to Champagne and fine wines in the UK and now Nigeria. Thanks to Audigier, Nigeria’s fine wine drinkers and of course its music business (particularly music videos) can now pop even more “sham-pain.”

Audigier is introducing his brand of fine wines and Champagne through an exclusive license via Connoisseur Xchange (Licensee) to Nigeria. Putting a fashion spin on it, Audigier has created what he hopes to be attention grabbing tattoo-like designs on his bottles consistent with his cutting edge Rock ‘n’ Roll street style meets Hollywood glam.

To celebrate the official launch into the Nigerian wine market, a very private launch party takes place on December 19th, 2009 at an undisclosed location with 250 carefully selected guests. In addition, Audigier/Connoisseur Xchange plan in 2010 to house a ‘Christian Audigier Room’ in selected Lagos nightclubs.
