BREAKING NEWS: Chris Aire Unveils Nigerian Gold & Gemstones in Hollywood with Adrien Brody, Cedric the Entertainer and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje!

BREAKING NEWS: Hollywood’s go-to-jeweler Nigeria’s Chris Aire aka Ice MAN prepares to unveil a new limited-edition collection of Nigerian gold and gemstone jewelry at an exclusive event in Beverly Hills, California on April 7th, 2010. The event dubbed the “Hollywood Glamour Collection,” and hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, Oscar winner Adrien Brody and Lost actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is in collaboration with the Nigeria Ministry of Mines and Steel and pays homage to both Hollywood glamour of the 1930s and ’40s and Nigeria!

The event will also feature a silent auction offering limited-edition Chris Aire pieces, with proceeds to benefit the United States Association for UNHCR, a nonprofit that supports the United Nations Refugee Agency’s humanitarian work to protect and assist refugees around the world.

“The purpose of my partnership with the Nigeria Ministry of Mines and Steel is to bring attention to the vast and largely untapped gold and gemstone resources in Nigeria,” said Aire in a press release explaining why he chose Nigerian diamonds and his collaboration efforts with the Nigerian government. “I hope (it) will stimulate investments and create jobs to provide additional revenue sources for the country,” adds Aire. “All of the materials in my collection were mined adhering to the highest standard of world labor laws.”

Chris Aire’s Hollywood glamour collection features pendants, necklaces, earrings, brooches and cuff links rendered in gold with gemstones from various regions of Nigeria. The Collection is crafted in white, yellow and red gold, red gold being a signature metal for Aire’s designs. Meanwhile, the designs sparkle with a rainbow of gemstones, from emeralds, sapphires and amethysts to garnets, citrine, quartz, tourmaline, aquamarine, morganite and topaz. Pieces range in price from about $500 to $45,000.

Guests including Hollywood celebrities and dignitaries will get a first look at the collection during a cocktail party and runway show on April 7th at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Nigerians are showing themselves strong, globally, in fashion, music and film. We LOVE it!
