4th Annual Nigeria Fashion & Beauty Awards Scheduled for May 27th, 2011 in Houston, Texas

The organizers of the Nigeria Fashion & Beauty (NFB) Awards have set a goal to annually celebrate the best of Nigeria’s vast fashion designs and beauty accomplishment amidst celebrities, awards presentation, fashion exhibition, cultural display, indigenous evergreen music and traditional dancers.

On Friday May 27th, 2011 in the city of Houston – Texas, USA. Founding Fathers Incorporated (FFI), organizer of the annual NFB AWARDS backed by the full faith and credit of the Nigerian community will recognize and honor 12 Nigerians in Diaspora who have been working generously to promote Nigeria’s ethnic fashion values at the 4th edition of the annual event.

Prestigious NFB awards will be shared among stake holders in the dynamic fashion and beauty industry namely Fashion designers, style analysts, fabric merchants, hair stylists, fashion boutiques, hair braiders, accessory designers, models/modeling agents, shoes & handbag designers, beauty products suppliers, fashion and entertainment enthusiasts.

. . . only a select group of people who have positively influenced the Nigerian fashion scene will ever carry the NFB Awards Trophy. It instantly identifies them as mouthpiece for the fashion industry, and most importantly their names will be written in the annals of Nigerian fashion as supporters and promoters of its great ideals.

The 2011 award night is envisaged to be an evening of music & dance, high fashion & beauty and of course jollification & encomiums.

Sizzling side attractions include stand-up comedy, dinner/cocktail, fashion show, cultural display, traditional dancers and much more.

This year’s event will also witness the investiture of four Nigerian women as fashion icons of all times.

The event will hold at All Saints Community Banquet Hall 13403 Renn Street b/w Bissonnet Houston, Texas 77083 starting from 10:00PM.

NFB AWARDS is the brainchild of Lanre Araba (OLOMU1), the Executive Director of Founding Fathers Inc. ( FFI ) OLOMU1 is a journalist turned showbiz man. In the past he has successfully organized fashion fair/show, beauty pageants and musical concerts.

  2. We Africans are proud of our heritage and i am sure that the real people who are championing mind blowing creative concepts in the fashion industry would be be given their due recognition.To me Fashion is turning into a huge industry just like the revolution in the entertainment industry.
